We felt it was only right to give them their time in the spotlight. That’s why we’re pleased to announce a new feature to our feed – “A Day in the Life” – where we shine a spotlight on all areas of our business by talking directly to our colleagues.
To kick things off, we spoke to Jamie, one of our Sales Co-ordinators to explore his day-to-day working at Southernsbroadstock.
Can you give us a description of your job role and daily tasks?
I spend my day supporting colleagues and Account Coordinators by inputting orders, gathering project-specific information and responding to customer queries. Recently, I’ve been busy with DWP orders, and I’ll be supporting my colleagues with a new ordering system due to go live next month. I make quite a few brews (I hope nobody in the office disagrees!) so, always busy.
Is there anything upcoming within the business you are excited about?
I enjoy working with my colleagues and I’m looking forward to the move to the new premises. I recently had a trip to our Macclesfield site, which was great to see the showroom and meet my other colleagues from our warehouse and office. I’m excited to see our new office in Bolton looking as good as the Macclesfield office – hopefully it has a matching coffee machine!
Tell us something personal about yourself that you wouldn’t mind sharing.
I enjoy walking and spending time outdoors in the fresh air. Someday I’d love to write a book.
