Monday 20th March should be spent being mindful, grateful and kind; the theme for this year’s International Day of Happiness. These words are important to us at Southernsbroadstock, representing the value that wellbeing holds within our organisation.
The United Nations, the organisation behind the International Day of Happiness, recognise that happiness is a ‘fundamental human goal’ and called for a ‘more inclusive, equitable and balanced approach’ that promotes happiness and wellbeing for everyone.
Inclusivity is incredibly important to us here at Southernsbroadstock. We aim to provide a level playing field for all individuals, regardless of their age, ability or situation. Our strategic planning and design work allows us to maximise economic, social and environmental benefits by building flexible furniture palettes and creating comfortable workspaces that support physical differences, neurodiversity, improve wellbeing and remove stigma.
We also aim to create a happy and inclusive space at work and regularly celebrate our employees, such as we did with our International Women’s Day campaign and regular Employee of the Month scheme. Shining the spotlight on our talented people always important to us.
