At the LUPC/SUPC 2022 conference

Published: July 25, 2022

The team at Southernsbroadstock were absolutely delighted to participate in this year’s LUPC/SUPC conference, meeting a number of important decision-makers in Higher Education.

The event marked a welcome return to in-person networking with Higher Education partners. As Inclusive Design was our core focus this year, we were eager to share our new ideas to highlight the benefits for students returning to campus.

Our aim was to educate on the benefits of flexible furniture and electrical solutions, as well as how to cater for neurodiverse needs. Biophilic interiors are also being recognised for their importance in enhancing wellbeing and we’re passionate about bringing this new design ethos into Higher Education. Good design empowers everyone. Through inclusive design, Southernsbroadstock assists in breaking down barriers and creating the best environments for all users.

The event took place at a new venue on Liverpool Street, London, and was professionally run with plenty of opportunities for buyers to visit the stands. There was a friendly atmosphere and a wide variety of attendees from procurement, administration and IT. We spoke to multiple business professionals from several organisations and our eye-catching display attracted visitors to our stand to discuss the future of HE interiors.

The highlight of our day was receiving a glowing customer review on a recently completed project, which only increases our passion to continuously grow and improve our services. We are uniquely placed to assist with projects in universities due to our in-depth expertise in FF&E. Nothing pleases us more than providing students with a first-rate experience and advancing innovation in design.

We can’t wait for our next opportunity to highlight our extensive knowledge and enthusiasm for FF&E. And in turn, this translates into enhancing our clients’ organisations and projects. We’re greatly looking forward to our participation in future conferences, using what we have learned from the event to make the next even more memorable.
